The small wide eyes told everything,
Such was the hope and desire,
Burning, blazing your very heart,
Wanting to reach where before you could not,
And turning weakness into wisdom...
With nothingness you came,
Oh! And let me tell you this,
You were all cute and beautiful - every single one,
Yet some had a little bit more of something,
Where some others had a little less of it,
But none of you hinted to step back,
Proof? You all did come to see me...
And with nothingness you came,
With that white shirts and green pants, and red ties,
And blue skirts as well with the white shawls,
And with everything I gave,
With a wicker in my left hand,
And countless chalks who met their end,
in my never tired right hand...
With nothingness but desire you came,
With everything I could I gave,
Imparted whatever knowledge you have asked for,
Such 'coz I knew - you wanted to fill in the nothingness,
In which you had with you,
When you first came to me...
**A tribute to my students who presented me with lot of gifts during the Teacher's Day Celebration. It was my 1st Teacher's Day as a teacher, which make it even more special.
